New speed limit signs on Serbian highways by week’s end
New speed limit signs will be put up along Serbia’s highways by the end of the week following the decision to raise the speed limit from 120 to 130 kilometres an hour, Construction, Traffic and Infrastructure Minister Zorana Mihajlovic said on Thursday.
She told the Serbian state TV (RTS) that some signs had already been changed.
The conditions are in place for Serbia to raise the speed limit because it has quality roads, the minister said adding that some 34 million vehicles used the Corridor 10 highway in 2014 with 52 million expected by the end of this year when that highway is expected to be completed.
