Mogherini condemns Seselj’s outburst
EU’s Foreign and Security Policy chief Federica Mogherini condemned on Thursday the incident in Serbia’s parliament caused by an ultra-nationalist and convicted war criminal the day before.
Vojislav Seselj trampled on a Croatian flag and then swore at members to the Croatian parliamentary delegation which then abruptly left Belgrade.
The incident caused an exchange of messages between Zagreb and Belgrade.
Mogherini said she condemned any act >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << “that does not support highly respected democratic institutions, as the national assembly is.
These are episodes which do not serve any good to Serbia.”
She added that she herself experienced a similar event last year while addressing the parliament in Belgrade when Serb ultra-nationalists yelled at her, screaming “Serbia, Russia, we don’t need Union.”
