Memorandum on reconstruction of Serbian railway signed

Serbian Construction, Traffic and Infrastructure Minister Zorana Mihajlovic signed a memorandum of cooperation on the reconstruction of the Belgrade-Nis railway with representatives of the China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC).

The memorandum was signed in the Bulgarian capital Sofia a day before a summit of Chinese and east European leaders. Prime Minister Ana Brnabic was present at the signing.

Mihajlovic said the reconstruction of the 198 kilometres of railway between >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << the Serbian capital and the city of Nis will require about 600 million Euros and added that the CRBC is interested in rail corridor 10 which is a priority project for the Serbian government, a ministry press release said.

A commercial contract is due to be signed at the summit on the construction of a section of the Belgrade-Budapest railway in Serbia.
