Law on Kosovo defence ministry adopted
Kosovo’s parliament adopted in principle a draft law on the defence ministry which Security Forces Minister Rustem Berisha said was in line with the constitution.
“The Defence Ministry will implement its powers in order to achieve civilian, democratic oversight of the Kosovo Security Forces. It will draw up a general defence policy at strategic level,” Berisha told MPs.
The draft law won unanimous support with the exception of MPs from the Serb List who walked out of the session of parliament.
