Labour Minister hopes grey economy will recede
Serbian Labour Minister Zoran Djordjevic has voiced hope that the grey economy in Serbia will drop to a level below the average registered in European Union member states.
He told a workshop on the grey economy in the town of Pancevo that inspectors had stepped up their efforts to combat the grey economy by 30 percent in the first half of this year compared to to the same period of 2017.
“The fact that the number of unregistered employees is dropping gives rise to hope >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << that we are on the right path,” Minister Djordjevic said.
“The Ministery launched the project Say NO to grey economy employment in March with the Norwegian embassy. The goal is to use a media campaign to make employees and employers aware of their rights and benefits. They should know that inspectors are there for the benefit of employees and employers,” the labour minister said.
