Joksimovic: visa-free regime remains for Serbian citizens
Serbia’s Minister for European Integration Jadranka Joksimovic told the Friday issue of Belgrade daily Danas that there is no reason for the European Union to lift the visa-free regime for Serbian citizens.
“The countries of the EU are certainly monitoring the movement of citizens of all countries on its negative lists but we are also carefully following the situation and controlling flights at airports along with Frontex personnel and there is no reason for the visa-free >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << regime to be in any danger,” Joksimovic said.
Speaking about media claims that the visa-free regime was in danger of being abolished because official Belgrade failed to introduce visas for the countries of origin of illegal migrants, Joksimovic said that Serbia showed its responsibility to the EU member states in terms of responsible border control at the height of the migrant crisis.
