Increase of tolls not considered, minister says
Serbia’s Construction, Traffic and Infrastructure Minister Zorana Mihajlovic said the increase of tolls on highways in Serbia as of next year is not being considered.
A possibility of the toll increase was announced by acting General Manager of Road of Serbia public enterprise Zoran Drobnjak. He told Prva Television on Saturday that the prices could go up by 10percent and that he would discuss the matter with the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic.
Minister Mihajlovic dismissed the information, noting that the Ministry of Finance and the Government of Serbia were in charge of road tolls and that the Roads of Serbia chief knows his job.
