IMF delegation to discuss salaries and pensions in Serbia
Serbia’s new Finance Minister Sinisa Mali said that a stand will be taken on raising public sector salaries in talks with a delegation of the International Monetary Fund which is due in Belgrade next week.
He told Belgrade daily newspaper Blic that the talks will also cover the announced abolishment of the law on temporarily reducing pensions.
“We are looking at continued cooperation with the IMF and other international financial institutions. They will come to Belgrade next week and we will define our stand on raising public sector salaries and will discuss the abolishing of the law on temporarily reducing pensions,” the finance minister said.
