Golden age coming, Serbian finance minister says
Serbia’s Finance Minister Sinisa Mali said on Thursday that he expects the country to experience what he said would be a golden age.
“A golden age is coming for Serbia. We are passing neighboring countries and approaching a time when the average salary will be 500 Euros,” he told the Serbian state TV (RTS).
The economy is recording impressive results, public sector salaries will be increased by the end of the year and pensions will be the highest ever as of October 1, he said and added all economic indicators are good but that wise steps have to be taken to improve living standards and raise the minimum wage to equal the cost of the consumer basket.
