Gojkovic: Serbian ruling party wants Vucic to remain leader

Serbian Parliament Speaker and ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) official Maja Gojkovic told reporters on Monday that almost all the members of the party’s top body want Aleksandar Vucic to stay on as leader.

“Almost all the speakers at the main board session said they want Vucic to remain leader of the SNS even though he has a different vision,” she said after a closed-door session.

Gojkovic said that most of the debate at the session of the party’s main board focused on the bad situation in the country which she said was created by the opposition political group Alliance for Serbia.
