Five months have passed since Olivera Ivanovic’s mureder

Five months since the murder of Oliver Ivanovic, head of the Citizens’ Initiative SDP (GI SDP), wreaths were laid in front of the party HQ in Kosovska Mitrovica.

Members of Ivanovic’s family, his party colleaguesand citizens of Kosovska Mitrovica demanded from the place he was killed that the competent authorities find the organizers and perpetrators of this crime.

GI SDP Deputy Leader Ksenija Bozanovic said the only thing one could have heard so far were opposing >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << statements from Pristina and Belgrade and representatives of the international community.

She added that the latest statement from KFOR (a NATO-led international peacekeeping force which was responsible for establishing a secure environment in Kosovo) which came five months after the murder was especially disappointing. KFOR said that they were ready to assist the investigation, “if someone asks them to.”

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced, Thursday, he would disclose certain information concerning Ivanovic's murder in the next couple of days.

He then added that Serbian citizens “could be surprised by certain information,” which he plans to disclose.

Ivanovic, who was the leader of the GI – SDP party in Kosovo, was gunned down in front of his party headquarters on January 16 by an unidentified gunman shooting from a moving car.
