Ex Serbia’s President: Time for Vucic to deliver on Kosovo
Boris Tadic, the leader of the opposition Social democratic Party (SDS) told Radio Sarajevo.ba Serbia's President Aleksandar Vucic would soon have to meet the promises regarding Kosovo he had given years ago.

“They (the Serbian Progressive Party, SNS, former Radical Party of Serbia, SRS) bear a huge burden of nationalism, chauvinism and the wars in the ‘90s, incitement to murders and atrocities. They also carry the accountability of being the close associate of (ex Yugoslavia’s and Serbia’s ruler Slobodan) Milosevic,” Tadic said, as carried by the FoNet news agency.
“And, unlike Milosevic who signed Kumanovo accord (a deal with NATO that halted the 1999 Alliance's bombing of the then Yugoslavia), they (the then SRS) advocated the continuation of the war against NATO,” he added.
Tadic said he knew that Vucic promised even before 2012 when he came to power that he would be “flexible” on the Kosovo issue and that, the former president added, secured him significant international support.
“Now it’s a time to deliver,” Tadic added.
He has also said that Vucic produces tensions in Kosovo and Bosnia as well, only to later come as one who calms them down, and that "that is enough for naive Western politicians to support him.”
Asked about a possible coalition of Serbia’s opposition parties, or as he called it a “big democratic union”, Tadic said that right now the problem was to form such union with parties that were against Vucic’s regime, but at the same time against the European Union.
