Dina Card becomes available from all Serbian banks
The Dina payment card has become available to all Serbian citizens who own bank accounts as of Friday.
The card was promoted recently by Serbian National Bank (NBS) Governor Jorgovanka Tabakovic as the national payments card.
The NBS said on its Dina Card pages (www.dinacard.nbs.rs) that the DinaCard network was set up in 2003 by the NBS in cooperation with commercial banks, with the aim of stepping up the development of non-cash payments, decreasing the amount of cash >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << in the money supply and fighting the grey economy.
The NBS says the Dina Card can be used in 160 countries with transactions costing users much less than with other cards. According to the NBS, The Dina Card is available from all commercial banks but banks are not obliged to automatically issue the card to clients.
