Belgrade-Pristina dialogue uncertain, Serbian MP says
Serbian ruling party official and MP Milovan Drecun said on Monday that he can’t be certain that the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue will continue this month.
“Everything is uncertain and unpredictable because of what Pristina is doing. There might be a dialogue but the question is what the topics will be and what we can agree on. If the two sides remain in their positions and no progress is made, we have to wonder what the purpose of it all is,” the chairman of the Serbian Parliament >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << Kosovo Committee said on the N1 morning show.
He said he does not see a long-term, stable solution for Kosovo without an international conference, adding that the US and Russia are needed in the process of resolving the Kosovo issue.
“No agreement between Belgrade and Pristina can be implemented without the US and no solution for Kosovo can be verified at the UN without Russia and they have to be included,” Drecun said.
According to Drecun, the most probable cause of the latest wave of violent incidents in Kosovo is the approacing new stage of talks on the status of Kosovo is coming.
