Americans interested in a Serbia highway construction
Serbia is likely to sign a memorandum of cooperation with American company Bethel, which showed interest in constructing the Morava corridor, which includes the Pojate-Preljina highway in central Serbia, said Serbia's Construction, Traffic and Infrastructure Minister Zorana Mihajlovic.
Mihajlovic told Radio Belgrade that her ministry’s priorities in the field of infrastructure include the construction of Belgrade-Budapest railway and the reconstruction of the remaining sections >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << on the Corridor 10.
The Minister said she was expecting Belgrade-Novi Sad railway to be reconstructed within a little over two years, adding that a journey between these two cities would last 25 minutes.
She also noted it would take at least three years to recover the railway between the cities of Belgrade and Nis, for high-speed trains to use it.
According to Mihajlovic, the EUR 268 million worth project of reconstruction and modernisation of Nis-Dimitrovgrad railway is already underway.
