Ambassador: France's position on Kosovo was always clear
French Ambassador to Serbia said his country’s position on the Kosovo issue is that both parties, Serbia and Kosovo, must find a common solution which will be definitive and sustainable and which will contribute to regional stability.
Ambassador Frederic Mondoloni told Blic daily that this position was always very clear and stated at the highest level. As an example of a real problem in the negotiation process, the ambassador pointed out Pristina’s refusal to implement >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << the Brussels Agreement in part concerning the Community of Serb Municipalities.
"We’ve made it clear that the implementation of this Agreement is very important. Both sides have made some decisions and took over some obligations. We called on Pristina authorities to fulfil their promise and allow the formation of the Community if Serb Municipalities," said Mondoloni who expects progress in months to come.
He added that he believes there is no final deadline for the agreement between Belgrade and Pristina, but that both sides must work on it and they should waste neither time nor opportunities for a final agreement.
