Air Serbia says partnership continuing with Etihad

Air Serbia said on Monday that its partnership with Etihad Airways will remain unchanged.

“Air Serbia and Etihad Airways agreed that the equity partnership of the two airlines is going to be continued. Etihad continues to own 49 per cent of Air Serbia and remains a fully committed and supportive shareholder in partnership with Air Serbia’s majority shareholder, the Government of Serbia,” Air Serbia said in its press release.

It quoted Prime Minister Ana Brnabic >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << who said she is satisfied with the decision. “Air Serbia is now standing on its own feet under the constructive supervision of its two shareholders, the Government of Serbia and Etihad. We are excited about Air Serbia’s perspectives and the continuing successful partnership,” Brnabic is quoted as saying.

The press release added that Robin Kamark, Etihad Aviation Group’s CEO for Equity Partners, said that the company “is looking forward to the next phase of our partnership as an engaged and supportive shareholder and cooperation partner”.

Interim Chief Executive Officer Duncan Naysmith and Chief Operations Officer Declan Keller will remain on current management positions until December 31, 2018, the press release said.
