Serbia committed to regional economic integration
Trade Minister Rasim Ljajic said on Friday that Serbia is fully committed to the forming of a single economic region in the Western Balkans but that some recent events have run counter to that process.
Speaking at a meeting with French Ambassador Frederic Mondoloni, Ljajic said that the announced forming of a customs union between Kosovo and Albania is a unilateral political act “which runs completely counter to all efforts to create a single economic region in the >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << Western Balkans and which seriously hampers the economic integration of the region”.
A ministry press release said that Ljajic and Mondoloni said that they expect trade between the two countries to cross last year’s one billion Euro level at the end of 2018. The press release said they also expect more French companies to come to Serbia as well as more tourists.
