US official: We will look into Belgrade and Pristina ideas
Aaron Wess Mitchell, the US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, told Serbia’s Prime Minister Ana Brnabic in New York that Washington supported the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue and that it would take into consideration the suggestions from both sides, the Beta news agency reported on Friday.
The two met at the sidelines of the UN General Assembly 73rd session.
Mitchell said he expected that the process (of searching for a compromise >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << in Kosovo issue) would end in a lasting political solution.
He said the US was ready to, together with its European Union partners, look into all suggestions from Belgrade and Pristina.
Mitchell and Brnabic also talked about further progress in bilateral political dialogue and the cooperation in economy, investments, defence and education.
Brnabic addressed the UN General Assembly, saying Belgrade was committed to peace and stability in the region, adding it would remain patient in the dialogue with Pristina.
