RS President: Could Serbia accept Kosovo again?
The President of Republika Srpska (RS), Bosnia’s Serb-dominated part, pointed out that rarely anyone is asking himself whether neighbouring Serbia could actually accept Kosovo back into Serbia as the country would have to give ethnic Albanians 30 percent of the seats in the Parliament.
"In order to obtain international recognition of your government, you would have to give Albanians 30 percent of the seats in Parliament, >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << the position of the prime minister, parliament speaker or president. You would have to introduce their language in the parliament. If anyone thinks we can do that, let’s push for it," Dodik told the Serbian Blic newspaper, adding that there is no will for this.
The four Serb majority municipalities in Kosovo’s north should reintegrate into Serbia, he said, as well as that Serbs and the property of the Orthodox Church in Kosovo should be protected according to the highest international standards and should be treated as exterritorial.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic recently proposed Kosovo to be divided into the northern Serb majority municipalities and the Albanian majority rest of the territory.
