Pristina refuses invitation to dialogue with Belgrade
Kosovo technical delegation chief Avni Arifi has refused an invitation from the European Union to take part in a meeting on the Community of Serb Municipalities (CSM) in Brussels later this week.
Arifi told Radio Free Europe on Tuesday that Pristina will not take part in the dialogue with Belgrade unless all the agreements reached during the dialogue are implemented.
He said the EU was called to organize a meeting early in May to discuss what he said are serious >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << delays in implementing agreements on energy, joint border control and other issues, adding that Pristina never received a response to the request which it repeated later that month.
“Late in May we received a letter about a meeting on other issues. We were to present the management team which is due to draft the statute of the CSM which was irrelevant for us. We refused. We are insisting on the dialogue and on discussing all topics. The Serbian delegation said last time that they were only there because of the CSM. We are here for all agreement. Either all agreements will be implemented or none,”Arifi said.
He said the EU is leaving the impression that they are only interested in the CSM. “They are not interested in the fact that Kosovo is loosing tens of millions of Euro over energy, not interested that we lost 24 million Euro over joint border management. They are not interested in the bridge in Mitrovica or diplomas. For us as Kosovo it’s all or nothing,” Arifi said.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on several occasions that the Brussels Agreement does not include any agreement on energy which Pristina is insisting on.
