Kosovo president says past can’t block future
Kosovo President Hashim Thaci told Belgrade daily Danas that he believes that neither he nor Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic are willing to allow the past to block the future or jeopardize peace in the region.
“Ethnic partition or the creating of a second Republika Srpska on our territory are not my goals. My goal is to establish 400 kilometers of border and that process demands creative solutions which will secure peace now and in the future,” Thaci said for Wednesday's >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << issue of the newspaper.
According to the Kosovo president, the final agreement between Belgrade and Pristina will be a “European Agreement” which will be acceptable to both Brussels and Washington.
Thaci expressed concern over what he said was “propaganda from Belgrade that the Kosovo police or military are drawing up a plan to start a war and capture the north”, dismissing it as stupid and dangerous.
