Kosovo Parliament to discuss laws on Security forces

Kosovo Parliament’s Internal Affairs Committee approved on Wednesday three laws on the Security Forces, with a Serb member voting against it, the Beta news agency reported.

The there laws – on Ministry of Defence, on Kosovo Security Forces (BKS) and BSK Service will be on an agenda of the parliament’s plenary session.

Zoran Mojsilovic, the member of the Serb List party, supported by Belgrade, and >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << the deputy president of the Committee, told the RTK2 television that laws were unacceptable to the Serbs since they meant the transformation of the BKS into Kosovo’s army, but without the name change.

Kosovo's officials have said that they have the US and NATO support for the creation of their armed forces.

The eventual move depends on the constitutional amendments which could not be passed without the Serb MPs approval.
