Kosovo NGOs blame Mogherini for latest tension
Several Kosovo NGOs on Friday criticized the European Union’s top diplomat Federica Mogherini, accusing her of bias and blaming her for the latest rise in tensions between Kosovo and Serbia.
The NGOs sent a letter to the EU High Representative saying that her latest statements “could cause extremely dangerous and harmful consequences to peace in the region and and the 20 years of international engagement in >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << maintaining peace and statehood”.
The letter comes after Mogherini’s statement that the Kosovo government should immediately revoke its decision to impose 100 percent import tariffs on goods from Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
“We are deeply disturbed by the EU behaviour towards Kosovo, including some of your latest statements,” the letter said and called Mogherini to “refrain from unilateral statements”. The NGOs also called her to “refrain from further support to the ethnic exchange of territories between Kosovo and Serbia”.
