Kosovo Interior Minister dismissed, media say
The New Kosovo Alliance (AKR), a coalition party in Kosovo’s Government, led by the Foreign Minister Behgjet Pacolli, demanded the dismissal of its member, the Interior Minister Bejtush Gashi, the Beta news agency reported on Monday.
Rahim Pacolli, an AKR official, confirmed a dismissal of one of the party’s member, failing to mention the name.
“I can only confirm that one minister from our ranks >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << was dismissed. The party demanded the ouster due to bad results in solving issues regarding citizens. It is expected that a new person would be named,” he said.
A Kosovo law stipulates that a prime minister can change ministers without the parliament approval.
In the meantime, Pristina daily Koha Ditore reported on Sunday that the US stop cooperation with Kosovo Minister of Security forces Rustem Berisha and his deputy Agim Ceku over the indictment against them for falsifying the Kosovo Liberation Army's veteran list.
