Indictments over March arrest of Serbian official
Serbian prosecutors are preparing to indict the people who arrested Office for Kosovo chief Marko Djuric in Mitrovica on March 26, Internal Affairs Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic said on Thursday.
“We know the persons involved in different parts of the case,” he said answering a question from a nationalist MP in parliament. The Internal Affairs and Justice Ministries are working intensively on the case, he said. >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija <<
“The Prosecutor for organized crime launched an investigation after the terrorist act against Djuric and Serb citizens in our southern province,” the minister said, adding that activities are underway to indict the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
Marko Djuric was arrested by a Kosovo police special unit on March 26 at a debate meeting and was taken in handcuffs to Pristina and later escorted out of Kosovo. The authorities in Pristina said he violated regulations because he did not inform them of his visit ahead of time.
