German official: Kosovo is not Serbia's only challenge
Kosovo is not the only challenge Serbia is facing on its path toward the EU, Chairman of the EU Affairs Commission in the Bundestag, Gunther Krichbaum, said.
Krichbaum pointed out that the relations between Serbia and Kosovo should be completely normalized before the country >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << joins the EU.
“Serbia’s EU membership is impossible without the normalization of the relationship with Kosovo. However, this is not the only challenge Serbia is facing,” Krichbaum told Serbia’s Politika newspaper.
The German official said the implementation of reforms regarding the rule of law in Serbia is just as important. The country still has a lot to work on in regard to an independent judicial system, media freedom and the battle against corruption and organized crime, he said.
