German Ambassador says Kosovo before EU membership
Germany’s Ambassador in Belgrade Axel Dittman expects Serbia to be very close to membership in the European Union by the year 2020 but warned that the Kosovo problem has to be resolved first.
“Germany fully supports Serbia and when you come to the door we want to be the ones to open it for you,” Dittman told the B92 portal, adding that the Kosovo problem has to be solved because the EU does not want >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << conflicts.
He said Berlin is following the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue and supporting both sides in the search for a solution. “The dialogue is underway with EU mediation. We are involved but we are letting Brussels do the job,” Dittman said.
