FM says Kosovo could be ready for EU in 2025
Foreign Minister Beghjet Pacolli believes Kosovo could be ready to become a member of the European Union by 2025, the media in Pristina said on Wednesday quoting the minister’s interview to the Financial Times.
“This may sound premature but the wish can serve as a motive and guide,” he said.
Pacolli said the EU’s energetic regional diplomacy had helped to improve the atmosphere in the >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, but added that those talks can’t go on forever. “The dialogue with Serbia has started going in a better way. I believe this dialogue does not have to continue for years in order for us to reach a final agreement,” he is quoted as saying.
Pacolli also expressed his personal idea of creating a free economic zone in northern Kosovo and in southern Serbia which would be managed by Serbs and Albanians respectively without political interference.
