BIRN: construction company owned by convicted Kosovo Serbs
The Inkop company which is doing construction work for the Serbian government on the Corridor 10 highway is now known to be owned by three Kosovo Serbs who have been convicted for a number of serious crimes in the past, the BIRN investigative network reported on Tuesday.
Shares in the Inkop company, which is registered in the Serbian town of Cuprija, have been transferred to Zvonko Veselinovic and Milan Radiocic who each got 40 percent of the company. Veselinovic’s brother >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << Zeljko also owns shares in the company.
According to documents submitted to the Economic Registry Agency (APR) Dusica Maksimovic, who BIRN says was the owner of record only, handed the three men the shares for free.
BIRN recalled that Radoicic was sentenced for forging personal ID cards in 2010 while Zvonko Veselinovic was arrested in Novi Pazar in 2003 for trafficking heroin. The younger Veselinovic was sentenced by an EULEX judge for illegal arms possession. Radoicic and the elder Veselinovic are standing trial in Serbia on charges of embezzling 26.5 million Dinars during the construction of Corridor 10.
The shares in Inkop were transferred to the three Kosovo Serbs three months after Radoicic was named deputy leader of the top Kosovo Serb party the Serb List. BIRN said he was known earlier as a local strongman with huge influence in the north of Kosovo. The late Kosovo Serb leader Oliver Ivanovic spoke of him as the man who rules northern Kosovo. Ivanovic was assassinated early in 2018.
