IKEA planning more retail outlets in Serbia

IKEA Southeast Europe CEO Stefan Vanoverbeke said on Wednesday that the retail chain is planning to build more outlets in Serbia, the Beta news agency reported.

He told Serbian Construction, Traffic and Infrastructure Minister Zorana Mihajlovic that the new outlets would be built at a cost of 50 million Euros, raising IKEA’s total investments in Serbia to 120 million Euros, adding that 400 more jobs would be created.

Vanoverbeke is quoted as saying that IKEA plans to start the construction of a new retail park next spring and wants it to open in the spring of 2020.
