Serbia-Germany relations best ever, President & envoy agree
The outgoing German ambassador to Belgrade Axel Dittmann said his country strongly supported Serbia on its European path, a statement for President Aleksandar Vucic’s office said on Thursday.
It added both Vucic and Dittmann, who talked to the President ahead of his departure from Belgrade, agreed that Serbia and Germany currently had “the best relations in history marked by mutual trust.”
Vucic thanked Dittmann for almost 50,000 jobs that German companies created >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << in Serbia and said he hoped for more investments to come.
Dittnamm said that apart of supporting Serbia’s EU integration and regional stability, Berlin would also like to see an improvement in the rule of law within the reforms for the block’s membership.
Vucic said that the Berlin process for peace and stability in the Western Balkans initiated by the German Chancellor Angela Merkel was vitally important.
He added that Belgrade was committed to a compromise for Kosovo, which would protect Serbia’s state and national interests, for the sake of the peaceful future of his country and the whole region.
