Serbia’s public companies make € 220 million in profit
The net profit of 31 Serbia’s public enterprises was some 200 million Euros in 2017, while six reported losses, the Blic daily reported on Wednesday.
“Srbijagas”, the state-owned natural gas provider, scored almost a half of the amount, followed by the EPS, the country’s power company, “Jugoimport SDPR”, the import and export company for defence-related equipment, EMS, power transmission company and “Poste Srbije,” the postal company.
The daily quoted the Ministry of Economy’s data showing that the 2017 net profit of the public enterprises was 56 percent higher than planned for the period.The trend continues in 2018, the Ministry said.
