Serbia takes over chair of Forum of Slavic Culture

Serbia has taken over the chair of the Forum of Slavic Culture at a session of that organization’s administrative body chaired by Culture Minister Vladan Vukosavljevic.

Speaking at Tuesday’s session of the organization’s board in Belgrade, Vukosavljevic said that the main aim of the Forum is to present Slavic cultural identity to the world.

The goal is also to bring Slav people closer together and link their cultural routes, he added.

Forum Director Andrea >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << Rihter of Slovenia said the organization brings together 300 million Slavs, 13 countries and 13 languages. “All of Europe has a population of 750 million which means that we account for half of Europe,” she said adding that the Slav people have a longer tradition and heritage than the West.

The Forum of Slavic Cultures is an international non-profit NGO founded in 2004.
