Did you know that doing 45 min of HIIT (High intensity interval training) or any cardiovascular training 3 times a week can make you genetically up to 9 years younger? A recent german study conducted in Leipzig, has once again proven, that our cells get younger the more cardiovascular training we perform. They looked at Telomeres, which are located at the end of our chromosomes and basically reflect the age of a cell- the longer they are, the younger the cell! The groups that did HIIT and Cardio training 3-4 times weekly, had after 6 months longer telomeres than when they started, hence their cells got younger.
