Serbs fear Kosovo's army formation, President Vucic says
Serbia's President Aleksandar Vucic said on Monday that Pristina’s authorities’ reports on the transformation of Kosovo’s security Forces into an army caused fear among the Serbs, Belgrade-based agencies reported.
He added that some Western partners work hard to help Kosovo become an Interpol member next month.
Speaking about Kosovo’s future army, Vucic said he was afraid if it was formed this >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << week and added he told NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg under which conditions any armed force could be present in Kosovo’s north.
“We won't leave our people without the support from their country, but we will do everything to prevent such irresponsible behaviour,” he said, adding he hoped for a continuation of the dialogue with Pristina soon.
The Europen Union-facilitated Belgrade - Pristina dialogue on normalisation of relations has been on hold since early September, and no date for a new meeting has been scheduled yet.
