If we don’t talk, we risk frozen conflict, Kosovo Thaci says
Kosovo’s President Hashim Thaci warned on Tuesday about a possibility of the new two decades of a frozen conflict between Belgrade and Pristina if the current “favourable time” for talks was lost, the Beta news agency reported.
Addressing the Geneva “Dialogue on the Western Balkans” organised by the World Economic Forum, Thaci told reporters that it was necessary to achieve “a peaceful accord with Serbia that will bring lasting peace to both countries.” >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija <<
He criticised his opponents in Kosovo telling them that the status quo was not sustainable and that they did not offer an alternative.
Taking part at the same gathering in Geneva, Serbia’s Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said that “this is the year in which we will recognise Kosovo as it is – an autonomous province of Serbia.”
