Belgrade to Pristina: A lot depends on Serbia
The head of Serbia’s Government Office for Kosovo said on Thursday that even ten years after the declaration of independence, Kosovo had not been a step closer to the United Nations and other relevant international institutions’ membership, the FoNet news agency reported.
In response to Kosovo’s Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj’s statement earlier in the day that Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << needed the courage to tell his people that life in Kosovo did not depend on Belgrade, Marko Djuric said that, to the contrary, many things depended on Serbia.
He added that the “unilaterally declared independence is a reversible process.”
“Haradinaj knows that time is not working for him or his dreams about independent Kosovo, but is persistent in self-deception and lies, because he feels that the idea he advocates and, as he has said, is ready to die for, is suffering defeats,” Djuric said adding that “many states which recognised Kosovo’s independence now regret it.”
However, he added that the Serbs wanted friendly relations with the Albanians.
“Serbia does not want its (Kosovo) Albanian citizens to remain hostages of both failed idea and policy,” Djuric said.
