No EU membership without friends, Serbian President says
Serbia can’t become the next European Union member state without strong support from its friends, President Aleksandar Vucic said in Bucharest on Tuesday.
Vucic said the meeting in the Romanian capital with the prime ministers of Romania, Bulgaria and Greece is very important to Serbia because it isn’t part of the EU yet.
“We are grateful for the support of these three countries in our European >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << integration,” Vucic said at a joint news conference with Viorica Dancila, Boyko Borisov and Alexis Tsipras. “We want to be the next EU member but we can’t do that without your strong support,” the president added.
Serbia is very much interested in constantly promoting cooperation between our four Balkan countries, Vucic said and added that a joint working group would be formed to implement agreed projects.
