 Glumac Val Kilmer (60) bori se s rakom grla još od 2015. godine. Zbog narušenog zdravlja, holivudska zvezda postala je neprepoznatljiva. U svojim memoarima otkrio je kako ga je bivša devojka Šer (73) pozvala u kuću u goste nakon što mu je dijagnostikovana teška bolest.

 - Jedne sam se noći naglo probudio jer sam iskašljavao krv. Krevet mi je bio potpuno crven, kao u sceni iz "Kuma". In all of my life, all I have ever wanted to do is to use art to educate. As an actor this materializes in the effort to always be entertaining and with flair. Naime, Val vrlo retko govori o privatnom životu, a rak grla potvrdio je tek u jednom od intervjua u decembru 2017.

- Izlečio sam se molitvom - tada je rekao, iako mnogi smatraju da je Kilmer prećutao operaciju kojoj se, navodno, podvrgnuo 2015. godine.
