SERBIAN OFFERED HIS KIDNEY TO CROAT! Klasnic could be saved by man from Krupanj!
Former Croatian national team player Ivan Klasnic urgently needs a kidney transplant, and his moving story motivated a Serb to offer him his own kidney!
Football player, who already had two surgeries after his mother and father donated him kidneys, is in life threatening danger, and he is going to dialysis in Hamburg.
After his moving story spread, Branko Petkovic (58) from Krupanj offered his kidney to Klasnic.
- I am 58 and i am willing to give my kidney to Croat >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu Telegraf.rs << Ivan Klasnic if i pass the tests. I know who Klasnic is, i know he played in Germany and England, that he was a representative of Croatia. I don't care if he is a Croat, Serbian, Muslim, Turkish... It is important that he is a man, and being humane is the most important. Croats did a lot of bad stuff to us, even here in Podrinj, but that's not important to me now. Its important what kind of man is he - said Petkovic for "Informer".
He won't be able to travel to Germany for testing because he doesn't own a passport.

- It's no problem at all, i am going to my doctor today to do the exams. I just hope i can do my examinations in Loznica or in Belgrade, since i don't have a passport to go to Germany. If all procedures go well, i will give my kidney to Klasnic, because i can live with one. I heard that his father already donated one, and if he can do it i hope he can get mine transplanted - said Petkovic.
He is know in Krupanj by the nickname Lija, he is currently unemployed, and he is not interested in fame or money.
- I am not interest in money, only humanity. I am on the Bureau of Employment at the moment, i have one year till i retire. I have been always interested in football, i was a coach for a long time to Radjevci from Krupanj. Maybe ill need something in the future, at the moment i am all fine. If Ivan has the need to call me, he can contact me easily - said Petrovic, who was a football player in his time.
- I played football - really good! Ask the people who know me, i would certainly go to Red Star and Partizan. I played for Zvezdara, New Belgrade, Srem from Jakovo, Macva from Sabac, i changed nine clubs in Belgrade and nine outside Belgrade - ended up his talk for "Informer" Petkovic.
